Carl struggled finding grip on a couple of runs but she hooked up ok in this 1.  New pb 10.14 and 1.48 60ft.  Getting there!

Set up at the Springspeed Nationals.  Plenty of grip so could this be the first 9 second pass? Out around 10   1030. Should be live on santa pod youtube

Unfortunately gearbox issues scuppered any chance of running a 9!  Not shifting from 3rd to 4th. On inspection found some dog damage and a gear wandering about on the shaft rather than being fixed!  A quick trip to see Claire Rule and let her wave her magic wand and hopefully we have a sorted box. Engine rebuilt and ready to install.

Sounds like an awesome project—nothing better than turning a barn find into a 9-second missile! Can’t wait to see the progress and how you’ve tackled the build on a budget. Bring on the details and pics—this is the kind of grassroots racing we love to see!

I ran exactly the same spec `box at Melbourne (as did Alan Ward) - and shifted faultlessly all weekend , so should be good !
