removing carbs from 1100ET

Trying to remove the carbs without succes so far. Is this the correct methode?

1. Remove the rear section of the air filter box. The bit that holds the filter.

2. Loosen the rings that clamb the carbs to the inlet rubbers.

3. Pull varbs free from inlet rubbers

4. Loosen the air box (front section air filter) from carbs

5. Release throttle and choke cable

6. Pull out carbs

Or, (point 2) do I leave the rubbers tightend on carbs and do I release them from engine so I pull carbs from engine with rubber attached to carbs?

Or, do I first loosen the air box, so carbs can move around a bit easier?

Any tip welcome.

Sorry for high rookie level question.

loosen airbox on the top from frame

loosen aibox rubbers spray a bit WD40 or silicone spray between rubber an carb

loosen carb on intake, also WD40 or silicone spray  between

loosen choke cable at carb

losen throttle cable at handlebar

loosen ths gas and vac hoses

sit on bike

pull back carbs  with airbox and into airbox fron intakes

pull carb left hand that carbintakes are between rubber intakes

pull carb out from airbox

take out from left side toghether with hoses and throttle cable

To build makes more fun  :P

You forgot "remove fuel tank" at the beginning :D

Putting them back on went quite easy actually. What made the difference was an extra pair of hands. Wiggle one side in, hold it there, while someone else wiggles the other side in.  Now filling them with fuel. Hopefully they wont leak. A bench leak test before refitting? What a good idea! Never thought of it, as I'm not very experienced... 

Uhm, yeah, they are leaking... 

Well, at least I'm getting more experienced at removing en refitting carburators :tu.

It depends on where its leaking, if its leaking inside the venturi of the carb then its likely to be the float valve, if its coming from the top of the float bowl (where the gasket is) then it could be the gasket, but if the carbs are sat upright (float bowl horizontal) the fuel shouldn't get that far up !!!!  also check the pipes connecting the carbs together.
