Has anyone been able to use a newer digital dash from a gsxr on an 80's air cooled bike. Specifically getting the tach and speedo to work? Thanks guys Quote Link to comment
gorbys Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 If its can based its gonna be difficult without a can i/O module to provide it with correct signals. If it's just regular analog signals then it's just a matter of providing them and providing them correctly I.e speedo pulses and tacho pulses This is just my thinking though Quote Link to comment
Blubber Posted July 21, 2020 Share Posted July 21, 2020 Had GSX-R1000 ones on my EF.. in EF cases.. many moons ago Fitted a home made castelated front sprocket nut with a gsx-r1000 speed sensor behind the OEM EFE sprocket cover on a bracket. Tacho was easy since the EF already had a e-tacho. - Can't be that difficult to wire those up since i managed it. Sadly no pics or detailed scheme's ( Those are all gone; old OSS site and Photofuckit ) Did have to use a speedo healer to get the correct speed 1 Quote Link to comment
