1100 ET SHOCKS

Hi everyone, Could any of you clever lads tell me if its possible to have the rear shocks on my 1100 ET rebuilt, or at least if they can be taken apart . Thanks.

Don't think it would be worth it if oem , would look at cb 900 fit ment aftermarket shocks as 30 mm longer and stiffer spring rate .

Picked up some secondhand falcon ones for mine at good money

I used cb900f on my Kat- jacks the rear up nicely.

All I would say is a I found the fork on the bottom of the  cb shocks slightly narrow. I filled  off a few mm from the gsx swingarm and they then fitted fine.

The reason I was asking was  so I could take the springs off and get them re chromed. I assume that the shock body does not come apart so will not be able to have that re chromed,  or does someone know different ????.

Other than nostalgia, why spend money on something that's probably worn out and didn't work that well when new?

That's just it there not worn out and they work as well as  the ikon shocks I have, its just I would like to get them looking better.
