Too Much??

Silver??

 

i was bored bored bored and this engine is my 2nd spare, it was in the garage in the "too much like hard work" pile..

 

so as I was bored i had it to bits and tonced it up, using just the cans i had, , BUT is there too much silver??????

 

And now what do i do next weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I,ve done silver blocks on oil boilers for years but IMO the cam cover is a bit OTT

Yes I've always done the barbells, but I tried the sump and rocker box as I have lots of silver paint, 

not sure about the rocker box???

Just the cilinders silver to give it the big block look and i think it looks awesome .

I'm with @Blubberand @wraith.  I'd leave the cam cover in black. Barrels in silver. The starter and alternator red details look excellent in my opinion. That billet case cover is f'n awesome.

If the cam cover is silver, the block needs to be black; if the block is silver then the cam cover needs to be black. The alternate colours of case, block, head, cam cover, could work though with black and grey, or silver and grey because then they'd be less of a contrast and a reduced 'stripes' effect. Whatever scheme I think the breather cover needs to be the same colour as the cam cover, just to add my two-pennence worth

Rule 23,

Engines shall be black or silver or any combination of the above..

Optional Stainless cap head screws. Coloured cap head screws can only be used in an emergency,
