The Achilles heal is the top end oiling system (they eat cams) and the balancer chain tensioner set up both were improved from 94 onwards. Personally, my view is that engine wasn’t Suzuki’s best work. The 94 onwards 650 is better and the prices reflect that. I paid 500-600 for mine and spend more that I should have sorting it before it through the balancer chain out the side of the casing. I think I overpaid. Quote Link to comment
