GSXR Engine Stand

Hi, 

Does anyone know of a stand or manufacturer that makes a stand to mount an oil cooled motor for display purposes?

I need to get my engine out of the frame and on to the bench for some maintenance and a stand would be handy. Does anyone have a drawing of how to fabricate one ? cheers

If you just need something to hold it steady on the bench while you work on it have you considered making a simple wooden one ?

There is. I have a few! But ... they're on another 'puter, and I won't be able to get at it for a week at least. Someone else may well have what you're looking for.

@Swiss Tonihi bud, I've tried searching for an old post on here for any details on the engine stand dimensions but it brings up 83 posts ! Looked through quite a few but no success. If you can find the other dimensions it would be appreciated. No rush. thanks

Hi mate , the hole centres are 14.5 cm up from the bottom of the base rails ( on all 4 uprights ),

@Bowthanks, that's the info I needed. But photo is a little blurry can you please confirm the hole diameter ? And do you know what size of box section the frame work is ? I'm guessing 25mm ? thanks again.

@GsxrsamA heavy duty version of the Newvu stand ? The blue one ? Do they fit the GSXR1100 engine ? How sturdy are they ? cheers

Not those,  a beefier version of the one further up.....local blacksmith made them for gsxr  motors....one was knocked off shelf and broke my mates arm.....oops.

@Gsxrsamso have you tried the Newvu stands, the adjustable ones ? Or just the box section welded ones ?
