Bandit 12 carb settings

On my Red Herring project I'm running a  Standard mk2 Bandit 12 motor and carbs.

I'm using the standard carb intake rubbers with twin Ramair foam sock filters and a after market openish exhaust system.

What carb settings are a good starting point, jet sizes etc.

Or is it better to get a stage 3 Dynojet kit?

Some say the Dynojet kits are good some say not, got a kit in my 38mm carbs on my Kat and it was and was easy to fit.

As a starting place I'd put a 150 main jet in and start from there if you want to do it yourself.

The Miss has b12 (mk1) on her gsxr1100k Cobra zorst and K&N pod filters, and she is running 150 main standard pilot jet position and standard needles.

The Dynojet kit will give you more adjustment to work with.

I am gonna start with 130 mains, 47.5 pilots and I have dynojet needles set at 4th slot from the top. Mixture screws 2 3/4 turns out.

Gotta start somewhere and this seems to be a fair decent start point according to some folk.

150 to 160 main jets is where I have ended up some times but this was with mk1 carbs.

 Mk2 carbs are a bit different to Mk1 carbs, supposedly a bit harder to get right,I’d start around a 150ish main jet as already suggested.

If you want to make it easy on yourself, buy the Holeshot kit.

I've got a Dynojet stage 3 in mine and its a B12 Mk 1 with Mk 2 carbs, Akropovic full system and K&N dual filters. It's been in for 20k+ and it works quite well. I used the standard settings according to the instructions and tweeked it from there.
