started turning a couple of ends for the mid engine mount bolt, they are at present a bit on the rough side, but not as bad as the camera appears to make them look O.o

then went and picked up my ram air socks, and as luck would have it , they stretch over the bellmouths

They're a lovely tool to have, well worth getting.

Do you know the time and temperature they were in for ?

i put them in as it heated up (took about an hour), once it reached 50 degrees i set the timer for 30 min,  then i jammed the linkage open to expose the edge of the butterflies and put them back in for another ten minutes, temp ended up at 65 degrees . The cleaning fluid was a 10 - 1 mix and temp range between 50 and 80 deg

battery arrived , no battery strap yet, not put acid in yet either .... weird how some words evoke other thoughts ,  battery , like sanitarium, very often arrive in my head voiced by James Hetfield

number plate lights on too and proper bolts for tail light .... and fuel lines started, got interrupted , finish them later

oh.. filled rad up , knew i'd done something  else ( ooohhhh coolant on OSS... heresy i tell you )

busy couple of days,  sump has been treated to a few litre of putoline , so it seemed like a good time to poke 12v into the starter motor...... it cranked over fine, no clunks, bangs or anything else untoward

then bleed up the brakes and clutch with the vacuum bleeder I borrowed from Dynotech Ecosse, they're shut for the festive season, turns the entire affair into a half hour job

gear linkage is all connected with new left hand rose joint and nut

i cut through the angle grinder cable with the angle grinder......... not my finest moment of the day

filled the rad with coolant, then took the ugly ally water pipe off and welded the leaky pin holes (3 times) , if I had any dignity I would use this pipe as a template and weld a nice one (which was the original plan) ... but apparently l don't .... but then its not going to be dragged about shows to win ten bob trophy's , it's a tool for a job, that job being behaving like a twat

fuel lines on next , they'll need some clips n stuff as the shock and exhaust occupy the same kind of area  and I'd like to avoid any external combustion

that'll do for now , back to it tomorrow
