Big bore pistons , 1127, 1200, 1216

Recommended Posts

Took the head of my engine today to find it had been rebored to 1216 . I was told it was a standard 1127. Dont worry about the blackness on the pistons, carbs needed a good set up ,clean  and jetting properly. They cleaned up rather good with a wipe of petrol.

My Question is does anyone know what the pistons are ? They have  B00H4 markings on them.

Anyone know ?

They look like Wiseco, no good for turbo.

Depends how you build it! I used 1186 12:1 Wisecos in my first turbo - barrel spacer knocked the CR down. There is also a fair amount of crown thickness that could come off with would reduce the spacer thickness and achieve a better squish!

Block/ Barrels and  are off now..

Put a piston back in there with highest part flush with top of barrels, measure how far piston is down the bore.Stick a piece of perspex with a small hole drilled in on top with grease round the edges. Get a syringe with oil in fill it up then deduct the amount of oil from size of top of piston if it were flat.
