I suspect they do make a difference. I'm of the same mind as you @Gammaboy , I was looking at their position and had a feeling they were linked to frame flex. I'm going to frabricate some out of 1/4" ally, to be on the safe side and to fix my fairing bracket onto. Also its another skill to practice . badgerkdd Posted January 31, 2016 Author Share Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) So brackets are made but I couldn't get photobucket to upload my pics. Now it has, so here's a few. New engine in frame, but no bosses for frame braces. old engine with bosses... plates cut and old bracket for reference.. heating plates to 80/ 100 degC prior to bending... bending..... bent, cleaned, laquer sprayed now drying..... fitted ..... next job, fit the fairing brackets!
