I'm of the same mind as you @Gammaboy , I was looking at their position and had a feeling they were linked to frame flex. I'm going to frabricate some out of 1/4" ally, to be on the safe side and to fix my fairing bracket onto. Also its another skill to practice ;).

 

 Next job after the engine brackets is to rip apart the old motor and take a look inside. That will be worth pictures :tu.

So brackets are made but I couldn't get photobucket to upload my pics. Now it has, so here's a few.

New engine in frame, but no bosses for frame braces.
