GSX-R 750 86 Restoration from junk

Recommended Posts

Back after some issues with part to arrive and fitting.
The engine is now in place but I haven’t still finished the cylinder head.
The front and rear suspensions is now in place with tailor made spacers and bushings.
Rearsets has arrived as well but still need some fitting to put it in place.

I still need to finish the cylinder head.

Brought also a GSX750F 89” engine as it was cheap, but the guy who sold me it told me that it’s was leaving a lot of oil smoke.

I have opend it up and it’s need pistons sonI leave this one for future projects

Once I begun sanding the faring I discovered that this was painted leaving the stickers under the paint.....

So I had to remove all layers of paint leaving a horrible surface...

Once this was done I base coated it and sanded it again with 180 sand paper, this afternoon I have base coated again I hope this will be enough to get a nice finish at this old plastics

Here comes a stupid story:
My head light cover arrived today in good condition from UK, my intelligent brother in law picked it up an trove it over my hose fence in front of my garage, then my wife came home and run  the car over the packet...

To be honest I have to laugh about it just not to pull the hair of my head (impossible as I’m bald-headed)!
