gsx 1100ez no spark

hi all

just finished putting my 1100 ez together

i have no spark on 1 and four so i swapped the wires to the coils over and then i had a spark

this tells me the coilks fine its the feed wire to the coil

where do i look next what controls coil 1 and 4 and 2 and 3 seperately

Check wire from igniter unit to coil.also check you have 12volt feed to both coils

You can also check the ignitor box, as they sometimes when going bad, starts to cut out one cylinder.

Check the wiring continuity from the CDI unit to the coil feed. If that is OK, check the wire continuities from the ignition pick up to the CDI. Check the connections in and around the CDI unit. If all this checks out OK, borrow another known good CDI unit. My EFE CDI failed on one circuit so I was getting sparks on 2,3 but intermittant or no sparks on 1,4 so a faulty CDI is possible but check the wiring first.
