Wellseal or silicone???

I was just wondering what people are using to seal up the main engine cases together with.

I've always used Threebond 1207B liquid gasket black. 

Never had a problem with it, you only need a very thin smear on the matting surfaces, no not put it on any of the bearing surfaces.

The good thing with it, you don't get/find any of it in the oil pick up when you do the next oil change,  well that's as long as you don't put it on like tooth past

Wellseal or blue Hylomar. Preferably Wellseal.

Threebond for me,never seen any in a filter.

Very light coat of blue Hylomar has been my go to.

Very first time i used it a bit too much and it blocked the trans bearing oil passages  thank god I had made some other error in the rebuild and had to take the cases apart before starting it up.. had  the chance to spot my noobie error
