Ballancing Throttle Bodies

Hi Everyone.

I have been having a discussion recently about throttle bodies and weather its a good idea to dynamically balance them with vacuum gauges like you do with carbs..

Or..

To simply set them all the same with a drill bit or similar.

This will be on a naturally aspirated engine with no individual pulswidth correction between cylinders.

What do you guys think ?

That's what I did. Balancing TB's helps, but what really helped was to correctly set the throttle position sensor.  I have found it takes away the on/off jerkyness in the low revs..like during filterimg.

May be of assistance with OEM systems but aftermarket ECU's can reset the TPS within software - it resets rest and WOT positions. Remember the TPS is effectively only checking the body it is mounted to, so physical butterfly balance across the rack is vital.
