Gixer1460 Posted January 3, 2019 Share Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) Unless doing a lot of cold starts or the engine is a bad starter that needs a lot of cranking before firing then a higher AH makes no real difference. Better to look for the highest CCA rating for whatever battery you choose (Cold Cranking Amps). If you are increasing elec. loads via fuel injection, extra lights etc then the piss poor alternator is the first upgrade to be considered! Edited January 4, 2019 by Gixer1460 2 Quote Link to comment

Turns out they're made in China now & the QC on them is terrible. Last supplier i got off said to me he's dropping them cos of so many returns 2 Quote Link to comment

Wolf Posted March 14, 2019 Share Posted March 14, 2019 Keep to stock unless you have upgraded the charging system in SA we get a brand named toplite my last one lasted 4 years ( standing for routhly 2 years there of ) then died i gave it a hell of a 8hr charge boiling it and got another weeks riding off it Got a new one and it lasted a single day ( the older bikes aint fun to puch ) so i got an exchange unit today il see in about 3hr how it lasted thu the nite Quote Link to comment
