The fuel cap cylinder came out when opened it to syphon the tank! Might just be what it is. I'll go and have a look now

Evening peeps, not been on the forum for a long time since I owned an rf. But back with a bandit12 that is going to be worked on soon as funds allow. Well it's running like a bag of spanners so let's get that sorted. Going through the carbs now but whilst taking them off I found this under the bike. Has it come from the carbs.? If so where from? If not any ideas where it should be? Thanks in advance folks
