  1. I don't understand why you want to cut the crank unless you want to change from 180 degree firing intervals to something else
  2. Surely its the cams you need to change to change the firing order
  3. Get a 3 angle cut on the seats whilst the head is orf
  4. Try Nova Transmissions , been doing bike gearbox for ever , they have probably got the specs

    How much bhp?

884RK with FCR39s and a Yoshi pipe 128 , will see if I can find the print out
  6. gsxr884

    750 m

Mine is black and charcoal with an 884 kit and RS36s
  7. no , bodywork is done , just need to finish wiring the K3 clocks and mount them, make a bracket for the 2nd oil cooler , finish the rear caliper hanger/torque arm but my garage is so full I don't want to risk fitting the bodywork as the paint cost me £900 so it will wait until we move house, hopefully this year, looing for something with a barn or outbuildings ar at least space to build a workshop at least the size of 5 garages .
  8. looks like Ramair come up trumps again, this is the sort of universal thing I was /am looking at making to fit FCRs/RSs and BST 36/38s http://ramair-filters.co.uk/rt-carb-filters/rt3-twin-carburettor-bolt-on-air-filter-with-blank-baseplate.html
  9. looks like they have stopped making what I was going to use , its not on the website anymore , ally plate with 4 holes in and 1 big rounded filter that would trick the engine into thinking it had an airbox fitted bugger
  10. once you are through the case hardening its as soft as cheese inside
  11. had the airbox for years but damaged it during an emergency stop in my Transit when everything slid forward , it will be getting sorted soon, tempted to use a big flat panel Pipercross universal sheet filter and make mounts inside the airbox for it , new job on the horizon which will have me at home working for myself so I should have some spare time
  12. I need a trailer so I can bring the F,RK,M, 3 in a SWB Trafic is too tight. Next year will be even worse if I get my finger out and build the 750G and the Kat 7/11. Hopefully the new job will allow me the time to get building
  13. to right , I so nearly went to work for him when I left the RAF in 1990, he died in a tragic car accident that summer , I used to spend hours in his workshop helping him, I still miss his dry wit all these years later and boy did he know a thing or two about carbs exhausts and as he would call it the "infernal combustion engine"
  14. Leon Moss RIP of LeDAR would only use Ramair filters , using the std airbox rubbers inside the socks or twin pods for Slingshot carbs saves a lot of fabricating bell mouths , that's what I will be doing to my FCR39s inside a pressurised airbox on my RR
  15. Try a cobalt drill bit run very slowly, Hippy Mick did his 7/11 shaft not so long ago without to much grief
