  1. Leaving my house at 6.00am on Thursday heading through Le Tunnel and on to Spa , should get there about 5.00pm local time . Plenty time to set the Gazebo up and find somewhere to pitch tents, looks like the trade area is all hard standing so no tent pegs. May be kipping in the Gazebo and Van .

Have you got a stand number, I am thinking about having a trade stand and would ideally like to be somewhere close to OSS & ACS

  10. Glad to help Simon , just a quick fiddle today as time was a bit short , I am sure it can still be improved but just the feel on my drive was a LOT better than when you arrived, the setup was awful , I am not surprised it was trying to put into a low level orbit . She does sound well with that drag pipe but I know for sure that would have me in a ditch .

    MCN Festival

Any thoughts about doing this http://www.mcnfestival.com/clubs
  15. Just a thought that as OSS is a real community and not only a Virtual Community we need to have more events tagged onto existing established or existing with potential to grow events so this could be the place to float ideas of events that people already attend or think an OSS prescence would be worthwhile. I will Start it off, Newark Classic , Jan 5-7th (OK to late this year but this is a great season starter just after new year and is growing) Donington Classic( already has its own thread) Cadwell ( already has its own thread) Peterborough Classic (dates to follow) St Ives Festival of Motorcycles,( in its 4 th year and growing)25th July Boston Bike night ( well established has been running for ever) 6th July Brackley Festival of Motorcycles(dates to follow) established event Copdock Bike Show (dates to follow) established event Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb (been going since moses came of the mountain on his Triumph)dates to follow Prescott Hill climb, (another well established event) dates to follow, 30,000 plus attend this event
  16. 89 - 92 frame numbers all start GV73A-B so it may be a call to Suzuki UK to find out at what frame number they changed from l to M or look in a Haynes manual they normally have that info GSX-R1100 GV73A-B
  17. Thanks Simon, if its worth doing its worth doing correctly, whoever rebuilt them last time needs a guide dog, that crease and bulge at where they had been bent(typical bottom yoke crease) was easy to spot just by running a hand up the stantion , on a plus side they had put all new bushes in so that saved you a few quid but you wouldn't believe the amount of crud that came out of the bottom of the old stantions when I removed the shuttles , obviously never been cleaned , they must have only just been done the oil was still very clean.Looking fwd to seeing the old girl sometime soon
  18. Newark Showground have a Classic Show every January , our friends at ACS have been doing it for a while (4 years I believe), has anyone contacted the organisers regarding an OSS display. I think it could be a good post xmas get together and kick start the year
  19. with a £995 entry fee I doubt we will bother , there are much better things to spend a £1000 on , Classic TT no entry fees really I must check that out
  20. Seriously considering building a bike and putting a team together for this
  21. Simons suspenders in bits for inspection . Fork stanchions have been bent and badly straightened at some time, Shock shaft bush is well tired . That's at a glance , will get a proper look at in the near future .
