  1. I’d rather not use external oil feed if not necessary . Pros and cons of skimming block from top or bottom? O-rings, good call. Crank cases won’t need relieving to allow for larger sleeves?
  2. Nothing like resurrecting an old thread. Just to clarify, on a 1075 motor: •bandit liners •mk2 Busa pistons •skim the block by 3mm =1360cc. Any other mods/issues/precautions to be aware of when doing this? External oil feeds?
  3. It’s really cool little detail. If the rearset dictates the master cylinder needs to be horizontal there’s not much of a cooler way to mount it.
  4. I always thought that bracket was cool! May have a go at making one on a future bike
  5. Sp engineering did the one for my Kat. Not the most exciting can but got through noise testing @ Brands and not expensive.
  6. I was impressed with the Maxton cartridges in my Slabby. edit- it’s got slingy forks in it
  7. @MMorganAlternatively, Grumpy1260 does some really nice gsx rearsets…
  8. You don’t need a template. Get some thin ply/mdf and make something that feels comfortable/right, then transfer it onto aly.
  9. Don’t see many this colour…
  10. I made some plates, and used Tarozzi pegs…
  11. Lol- April fools was yesterday. He read “forged”, as in “knock off copy”.

That’s lovely! Matching side panels and tail in the pipeline?
  13. I doubt many people will have first hand experience of removing a b12 motor from a gpz special, but sump/strainer and cam breather off is a good place to start.
  14. Not in a KAt, but gs1000 is quite similar
  15. I’m after an ignition for my gs1000 track bike and looking into my options. Engine spec- looking to get a Grumpy race spec build, courtesy of a “favour” I’m owed. Opinions/experiences welcomed. •Dyna2000- tried and tested but expensive. Got one on my other gs1000 . No complaints but looking to explore other options. •Dyna S- ok but doesn’t have a built in limiter . Once I’ve purchased the limiter box it becomes expensive. •Boyer Brandsen- price looks ok, but my mate reckons they are fragile? And basic. •Ignitech- good reviews. Is it too much tech for an old gs1000 donk? •alternative not mentioned above?
  16. I don’t think you’ll be able to get the caliper to fully bite the disc with them bolted up like that. Ask me how I know….
  17. Have you consulted your colour guru?
  18. Slabby 750 frame, 750 arm with 1100 linkage, Gsxr J forks and b12 motor will look something like this
