  1. What oil boiler is that from? I just popped the stem out of my 91 triples and took these measurements last night.
  2. "might be my only option" Might being the key word. That's why I'm asking for stock spring dimensions. Bike I have is a CR80. I'm aware of using a spacer to add preload and/or make up for spring length. I've put CL350 springs in TTR125 forks, 1960's Triumph springs in a YZ80, and manay more spring swaps in street bikes. My comment about the FSRP spring was to point out those dimensions cannot be trusted when referring to stock equipment and why I need dimensions of stock equipment.
  3. Yes but the FRSP S3234 is a 31.7mm OD and 340mm long. Any bike with a stock spring that's close to that OD will have that specific spring recommended for it and there's a lot of bikes that have this spring listed as a replacement. 80cc dirt bikes, cruisers, standards, sport bikes all of widely different years supposedly can run this spring. I find that hard to believe especially when the spring it recommended for one of my past bikes was much shorter than the stock spring. That's why I need measurements of the stock stuff. I'd rather not pay $130 for springs if I can get some out of junk forks for $25 and even if I was willing to pay the $130, they don't make springs soft enough for my application and the springs recommended for my bike don't come stiff enough. That's my predicament.
  4. That's where I got the stock spring rates from but it doesn't give the stock lengths or stock diameters.
  5. I'm looking for the fork spring rate, outside diameter, and length for a... 88 gsxf 1100: .468 kg/mm is what my searching has turned up ?? OD ?? length 86-88 gsxr 1100: ?? spring rate ?? OD ?? length 85-87 gsxr 750: .58 kg/mm is what my searching has turned up ?? OD ?? length Plan is to respring my mini moto on the cheap and some searching I've done shows the above bikes might have the right size fork springs to keep my fat ass from bottoming out the little bike. Hoping someone here could confirm some dimensions for me.
  6. Working on fuel injecting the 7/11 and was thinking about using an in tank fuel pump to save space on the bike which got me thinking about making a mini fuel cell of sorts underneath a faux tank. Running a tank cover would allow me to remove the ugly breather bulge too. Anyone ever do this? Or I was thinking about moving the tank to the tail. Did any of the old endurance bikes do this or does anyone have pictures of a custom job?
  7. @davecara do you have any pictures of using the bottom of a k4 tank on your tank? I've been trying to figure out which way to go with the fuel pump and regulator for my bike and I really like the idea of an in-tank pump but have been wondering if it's better to go external for turbo use. Or if I should just run a different regulator when it's turbo time and continue to use an in tank pump.
  8. Most people use early 2000's gsxr600 throttle bodies because they are 38mm and fit the carb boots on our engines. Then remove the secondary butterflies and make a 10mm (I think it was 10mm) spacer for between the two pairs of throttle bodies to match the carb spacing of our oil cooled engines. A lot of the builds I've read have people using microsquirt. People that find amazing deals or get stuff for free and have already done efi conversions seem to be able to do the swap for $500-700 usd. I've got around $700 into it now and I think I've got everything I need but I haven't tried running it yet either. This is my first time using microsquirt.
  9. Main reason I did that work for the swingarm swap is because I didn't like how tall the brace was on the commonly swapped gsxr swingarms. The pivot of the 900rr swingarm is really wide so I had to shave material off the frame to make it fit and then I had to cut down the stock 600w swingarm pivot hardware and make some other custom spacers. If this were to go in a 750 or 1100 I would imagine the pivot would be wider and it would save some machine work. I've got other pictures of the swingarm swap and I'm sure I have all the measurements saved somewhere too but I'd have to dig for them. The bike has 04 gsxr600 forks in 91 gsxr750 triples with a 929 front wheel and rotors. I ended up using the 929 rear wheel, rotor, and caliper in the 900rr swingarm but I put a spare supermoto wheel in there for this picture to see how it looked.
  10. I put a 900rr arm in a 600w frame. I liked how the bracing looked on the 900rr arm compared gsxr stuff and the width back by the axle was pretty wide so I had plenty of room to get things spaced right. The lines seemed to flow better too. I can dig up measurements if you want.
  11. Well that ruins those plans. I was hoping to run a small table as my gauges and data logger.
  12. On the topic of lockups, will a lockup for a 91 Gsxr1100 fit a 93 gsxf1100 and a 02 B12? Or are there differences between models that prevent it from swapping one motor to the next?
  13. I've been thinking about using the microsquirt for my efi swap. Not a single clue what caused it?? That makes me a little nervous about it.
  14. You mentioned CF. What's your username over there? I'm Racing Geek over there too. I'm looking into putting a turbo on my 1100 or 7/11 too but I think I might try fuel injection first.
