As meanbean said above I would go 81mm 1216 on a turbo engine as the cylinder pressure is going to be more. I ran 1246 on a bandit motor for a few years no probs but that was before I went turbo...
Pistons are the weak link to start with along with the clutch...
Thanks. Im just gathering parts because I want to get the motor in and running first. Compression ratio is the next decision. I'm considering 9.5 -1 (standard) to keep it nice off boost.

Everyone went high mount to make them self draining / cleaner and easier to bleed. Plenty of options on Eblag.

I got 2 Haynes manuals, every blandit i get has one! They're very simple like me really.

Harris Magnum 2 is what it was origanal designed for by Harris.
That sounds expensive! Ktm free rides have tiny calipers, mountain bikes have tiny calipers. I like a decent rear brake, to many years offroad not to use it.

That's what I'm using. 1992 -96.

They are but I think there shorter?
Fit emulators? New cartridges. Not a lot else to do. Nice rear shock helps.

Quicky , quick bikes, on you tube has fitted triumph front end on his 600 blandit. Fully adjustable apparently.

You can go to 1246 but liners are getting a bit thin, 1216 is the ideal capacity.
There are quite a few people have been using these rods in turbo bikes and from what I can gather they are pretty good. Just worth buying some actually genuine ARP bolts.
Thanks meany, would that be 81 or 82mm as I've been offered both? As for the rod bolts I probably will for another £80.

They're £1000 plus vat cheaper than Corillo rods!

Ive bought what I think are a real serious rod for my B12 build for less than £190. They come with Genuine ARP 2000 bolts.
I've seen these in high powered VW 20v Turbo engines and thought I'd give them a go.
I'm going to run a set of forged pistons when I can work out what CC I can afford! Can I get 1246cc on standard barrels and liners?
-
Thanks, I'll try and get her running!

My bike won't be ready, well it Might, but I'd like to come say Hi!

Ive got a mk2 blandit that I've gutted and im putting in a nice shiny gsxr frame. I've taken the loom and the motor, the rest is on the tinterweb

As busa rods are 2mm longer you need to add a 2mm spacer to the barrels to compensate ?

Yep, lithium has some kick when they've warmed up. I like the double battery idea.

While I have my bandit 12 head on the mill at work sorting the exhaust stud holes I was wondering if it would benefit from a head skim.if its a worthwhile mod how much should I remove.
Thanks
As little as possible if you haven't done the maths
