GSx1100 Dresda Solitaire (I may have had a Clivecident).
Havoc replied to imago's topic in Trick Frames
Kind of what I said on a different platform After being side swiped on both sides during a roundabout faux par in my Renault 4, I scavenged the replacements for the 6 damaged panels off 6 different wrecked R4s in the local scrap yard, all different colours.... -
I'm just here, for the beer

The 1428 was a pain to get in and out of the Mag II. Got the hang of it in the end, empty frame over built motor -

I get that, but those rims with tyres on even old ones that will be replaced, will be much safer in the mean time. -

I'd get tyres on those delicate rims sooner rather than later, give them a bit of protection -

Front is split rim, rear isn't. Spoke design and rims identical in every other way bar size?? Go figure -

I also have no idea, I'm going up to work in a bit, I'll check to see if the front is split rim or whether the bolts are just for show. My intention, had I kept them would have been to add bolts to the rear, I don't believe it would compromise rim integrity. -

I keep mine in a coffee jar with a tight lid. I'm still using the original mix 4 years later. As long as the solvent component can't evaporate, it'll stay useable. I have added a little more MEK perhaps annually, to soften it up a bit. I just kept adding ABS pellets to the MEK until it reached a consistency I thought looked like it'd do the job. I added the pellets slowly over a couple of days.

Chemistry is ace. Be careful of the MEK though, the RAF banned it's use over 20 years ago

Awesome, going to watch this with interest

Quality, not quantity round 'ere

2 or 3 bikes hard to ride with just the 1 arse. Also Newark showground not the sort of place you want to be stuck at for 48 hours without a way of escaping

They've closed for the holidays now with it on their ramp, without telling me if they've found the problem or what it is. They did say they would. He's a mate though, doing me a favor, so it is what it is, no biggy. I reckon I'll be able to find a way of getting a few bikes to Newark, I've got ages

Paul, looks like I'm vanless until mid Jan, automatic fan belt tensioner on back order. Got the bikes, might not have the means to get them there, it's only 11 miles away, any helpers? 40 minute turn around?
-
I'll bring a couple Paul. I hadn't answered like I thought I had. No real surprise there....

Not mine, customer's bike. It's fluorescent yellow, I'm trying to flat a clear coat down on it at the mo, It's hurting my eyes...
