  1. Yeah I've got an 1100 J but it's on the road and my only road bike at the moment so I'm reluctant to borrow the frame, the 11 frames are commanding more and more money that's the problem.
  2. Only that I'm putting a 1052 motor in and wanted a bit of extra rigidity to cope with any extra power, to be honest Dunc, I've always found the handling pretty spot on but wasn't sure if the motor ends up tuned etc the frame might struggle to cope with the extra grunt.
  3. Want some advice on what alloy to use for bracing up my 750 frame and what feedback anyone has on how different their bike feels with what bracing they've done?
  4. As the title says dates for this year's trackdays are on the CBT website, there is a day at Donny but obviously no endurance legends there, get booking!
  5. Was thinking about putting captive spacers in my slabbie, anyone done this and where did you get them, or did you make them, 3 spoke 17" wheels from a slingshot,
  6. Fair point dezza, I imagine the leak engine is canted forward in the frame more as well
  7. I've been given my brothers knackered 99 zx6r, it's pretty fucked but it has a nice full akrapovic system on it, anyone know if it'll fit my 750 slabbie or has fitted one themselves, thought I'd ask the question before I go taking things apart?
  8. Love the bracing on your frame mark, I should have come for a nosy at donnington, I'm at castle Combe tomorrow on the slabbie,
  9. Yes yes yes some really neat stuff there, love the under seat one dupersunc and the other words look really neat and tidy, some ingenious stuff, I'd better get ordering!!
  10. I would give Robinson's foundry a try, they don't have 36's on microfiche but if you ring them they should have them. Might not be the cheapest but I've always found them spot on to deal with
  11. Any body have any pictures of their crankcase breather, catch tank set ups for a bit of inspiration or so I can tell people it was my idea!!
  12. Ideal, we'll looks like I need to have a look at the pilot jets and mixture screws.
  13. Right, my slabby track/race bike has a K slingshot motor in it, still running the vm 29 carbs from the slabby though, problem is, when I get to a corner, close throttle bang it over on its ear then when I try and gently feed in the throttle it snatches and unsettles the bike right at the worst time, I have balanced the carbs but they were pretty good anyway, what should I start with, the pilots or mixture screws??
  14. Well other thing that's confusing is that it has the hydraulic clutch set up from the slabby but don't the slingshots have a cable set up to the top of the clutch cover? He's pretty sure it's a short stroke motor anyway I'll have a look on the side of the barrels now
  15. Just been chatting to the bloke I bought my slabby 750f off of, he reckons it had a later motor put in it, either a slingy short stroke or lmn long stroke, is there an easy way of identifying the motors year?
  16. The factory pro tuning guide is fecking brilliant, although does sound like an airleak, as said above spray something like wd, over the carbs if there is a leak the revs will pick up
  17. Interested to know what lighter wheels people are running on slabsides, what works etc, got slingy ones on mine but they're pretty heavy, wandered about the rsv mille 5 spokes or lightweight oz ones, I know there was talk of Daytona 675 wheels being close but has anyone done it??????
  18. Believe it's 318mm for the Falco shock
  19. Sachs shock out of an aprilia Falco I think, I put one in mine, you have to take a couple of mm off the bottom bushes but I'm pretty sure that's it, I've used a yss shock in the 750 pretty good for the road but a bit underdamped for serious abuse, nice price though
  20. I'll be going up from cornwall mate, will take the trusty old slabbie, it's nearest track to me so can't miss it really. I'll bring a few barrels of nice warm weak shandy!!
  21. I'd be more than happy to put the classic TT bike on the stand, I'll be doing the trackday though so might not work out.
