Jimbob43 that makes me think about using my ducati subframe etc :tu

Plenty room in the seat unit for electrics, struggle to get everything in with a modern seat unit, plus its going a little old school in looks

  2. Gavs last ever build, finished off by spondon/gia,  Stuart tiller is now  involved, still has spondon monster tube frame jig, I wouldn't touch Walker as far as I could throw him, he,s a dodgy man, them tube frames are a kit, frame tank yokes subframe and rearsets for 7.5k, he has ten kits for sale apparently, he did state to me it costs him 12k to make them but selling for 7.5

  3. A little update, not a great lot done, but busy with another project, needed the body work back to carry on with this one, was painted by Tony Graham parks in Sheffield,  the paint work is perfect, I cannot fault any of it, the bottom of the tank is as good as the top, just a shame it isn't sunny here, its a pearlescent paint so needs natural light to see it, has a hint of purple in the house, all the body work is fitted, the tank mudguard and seat unit is only loosely fitted, was desperate to see what it looked like.

yellow wheels for the win , same as my tube frame (no pics, its a K4 engine , the old skool gods don't approve  )

    It's called WTF yellow lol

  8. Not a great lot to update on this, work covid etc has slowed it a little, I,ve actually worked more cos of bloody covid, wiring is 99%done, basically brake/clutch lines to do and few bits and pieces, please ignore the exhaust its only fitted for sva purposes. Still trying to find a company who can do a billet cam cover. Body work is off to Sheffield today to a well known painter, the whole lot needs stripped and restarted, as the previous painter totally messesd it up and didn't finish it, never trust a Fred in a shed who can only quote lines from YouTube, an expensive lesson learnt.

  9. Not a great lot to really update on here, most of the wiring has been done, but waiting on a headlight turning up along with casings from redsix, look qaulity stuff but their fooking slow.

Picked up my rebuilt engine from rooster racing, the man's a genius and promises it will be a proper arm puller of a lump

Decided I can't live with the gold on the ohlins forks, so their getting polished, i can live with a gold sprocket/chain but thats it, the forks look tacky in my eyes.

Few pics, I'm sure most will not like the engine colour, I do and thats what matters.

Exhaust is temporary, its only to get it through an sva.

Still got a long way to go on it, need to find a colour to go with the pearlescent blue to do a two tone paint scheme on the body work, plus a painter to do it.20200723_111258.thumb.jpg.1170146b923f22fe99f3636e924f7ad6.jpg

  10. Well no real work done to this, been out the country for a couple of month with work, only been home a few days but started wireing loom, bit of a mare, motogadget speedo cables are fooking tiny, Duke seat unit has little space for everything, started on an exhaust, its going for an sva so needs to be all legal etc, this won't be the final exhaust, its just for sva. Rooster racing has nearly built my engine, his work is amazing, the head work is porn, once i have the lump ill paint it and fit it, undecided on a colour scheme, but i do have a nice pearlescent blue which I,d like to use with another colour or two,

How long did it take from order to collection ? Think I may need to ring and see how much deposit is needed.

    About 8/9mth mate

  13. Made a start on it today, got the engine out, was only empty lump, wasn't sure where to actually start so thought I'd start on electrics, needed a mount for the motogadget speedo, I did have a set of bars that held the speedo, but looked like they came out of halfords, bit fun with the grinder and drill and one speedo holder fitted, needs sanded off etc but its a start

  15. Over the past few month the bits I've gathered for it so far, dyna 2000, dyna mini coils, motogadget m-unit, proscope speedo, ISR master cylinders with built in switches, ISR radial calipers, just recently got a good deal on a set of ohlins forks that I,d of been a fool to turn down, be a shame to polish the gold off the fork legs but its the look i want, never been a lover of gold on a bike, reverse thug yokes, and a nice nitron rear shock, headlight wise I've used a pair of twin oberons on a previous bike, and I really like them, suits the style of bike in my eyes, still have a lot of stuff to source though, but I think I have the bulk

  18. Always wanted a big tubed ally framed special, really wanted a spondon, but didnt want second hand,  i also didnt want people saying was that such and such,s bike,  wanted to build my own bike from something new. I contacted gav at GIA mid last year and arrangements were made, deposit paid etc, As of today its not quite ready, it will be ready to pick up this friday, but i.ll post some pics of the build so far. Now it will be a slow build, i work out the country 6mth of the year, 4 weeks at a time, it will basicly be built twice, first for an MSVA with all the legal E marked gear, then a little rebuild with the bits i want to use. Engine wise its a 1216 bandit lump, currently being built by don at rooster raceing. luckily don lives about 3 mile from me, cracking bloke, what he doesnt know about suzuki lumps isnt worth knowing, his workshop and engine room are amazing, i feel honoured that he,s building the lump, I do have a plan in my head on what route i,m taking parts wise paint etc. But i know when i pick the bike up and see it in the flesh it may change slightly.
