Hi,
.. after following the Hellcat build and seeing additional engine breathers added is there any point in reconnecting my top engine breather to the airbox? ...is it just there to keep the emissions chap happy?...I thought carbs liked cold air not hot???
It's a 1100f
Cheers

Hi,
...I've had similar prob with mine, plenty of 2nd hand shit for stupid money...I got lucky with a b king shock for £7 (plus postage). They are about 10mm shorter than standard so I've fashioned a bracket that bolts on to the frame just above the existing shock mount, 10mm lower than stock. There was a bit of shaving off to do on the bottom swivel mount but it fits well. Only downside is that I've had to mount a smaller battery where the tool kit used to be.

Will use in conjunction with the other suggestions cheers

2 options now!..I'm really paranoid about snapping the castings so will go slowly. Cheers

What a good idea...will get one and give it a go. Cheers
-
That might be the only option I suppose it would have to be wafer thin though...

Thanks...I think I'm going to give up on replacing the needle valve, the carbs dont leak anyway and I'm not going to risk snapping a post....on all of the other bikes I've owned the pin has always slid out no probs...nevermind
-
Yeah they look it...gonna take my time with this!
-
Ok, will give it a go....

Hi,
...I'm trying to remove the pin that holds the floats in, it's a bit reluctant to move, do they have to be drifted out?
Cheers

Hi,
Cheers...it does have needles and emulsion tubes so fingers crossed.
Thanks !

Hi,

Hi,
...I've decided to take the plunge and buy a carb repair kit for my 1100f...there are a few on the market ...any recomendations? I'm also going to change the diaphrams, are there any cheaper pattern ones that wont fleece me too much?
Thanks

Will have to balance carbs anyway, will check air screws..cheers for the reassurance
