  3. Why are there so many EFE frames for sale with no engines? Why are EFE engines so expensive. Bandit engines are cheap and plentiful, lighter, more powerful and pound per bhp alot cheaper to make faster than an EFE engine. I'm a fan of the original engine in the frame but I also see alot of negativity towards those that fit an oil cooled engine into an EFE, regularly seeing comments such as "sacrilege" or "WRONG ENGINE". I would sooner see an efe on the road with an oil cooled engine than it sit there for snobbery sake that it doesnt have it's original engine. Plus I like to think every time an oil cooled engine is fitted to an EFE that some single minded Air Cooled fan gets the hump.
  4. I worked really well, I never even finished getting the most from it. The new turbo reacts so well to ignition/fuel changes. Unfortunately I pulled the bike apart when we moved in at our new house. I have a few upgrades in mind for its return once iv finished her EF.
  5. I run a 17th for land speed stuff and just removing the offending post on the sprocket cover.

  7. and Been doing some testing recently, carbs on carbs off job but initial testing looking very very promising. Shooting for record numbers. Alot of road testing and one secret dyno pull so far. Loads to come from this new setup.

  17. Those clamps are expensive but the budget says no at the moment. Tonight, another boring bit here, bit there night. New rear pads, back end final assy, scavenge pump bracket made mounted with hoses to suit, calipers on and lubes fitted ready for bleeding. Sprocket, chain, bleed, bodywork and tighten anything that falls off. Cam cover, hose clamps should be here tomorrow. Be another late night tomorrow but hoping to test it this weekend.
  18. 6 mikalor clamps on overnight order thanks to @davecara, Dave I owe you just lately for all the borrowing and help. You are made of oldskool OSS stuff.
  19. Air leak due to a clamp on the side pipe that pinged loose when tightened, il swap them out for more beefy ones. To test I just used some random bad boys lying round in the shed, returns to idle well now. Spent the night routing the fuel system, must of cut out a metre of the previous system. Calipers rebuilt with new pads, tidied up the wiring. Few jobs left yet but hopefully be ready for a test run to donny.
  20. We got a full weekend pass regards baby sitting. Best pull my finger out. Her shocks out having a service and iv still gotta a list as long as my arm to complete. Partyyyyyyyy.

  23. Dave modified the Intercooler pipe for me so it would clear the big block, fitted a scavenge pump minus one fitting on order. Fresh cam cover and that's the engine boxed off asides tuning. Just chain, brake rebuild, rejig of wiring, route fuel hose and bodywork to go.
  24. Locked and loaded to go FBM in the morning to finish the last bits of fabrication
