  1. That's cool then. I'll be there for the weekend then with bbq please. No need to book for camping then? Just find a space to pitch in the odd corner?
  2. What's the score for camping then if you don't want to track? I'm up for camping and lending a hand if need be. Do we just tip up with beer and a tent then? I'm only about 20 minutes from Cadwell too so should be fun hopefully meet some cool people in real life.
  3. Done the air filter Vizman when I did the other bits. I'll have to balance them and see if that helps much.
  4. Cheers Pegleg. I've done that today and it seems to stay the same so I'm guessing their is no leak on the intake.
  5. Cheers vizman. I was using it daily for a 70 mile commute up until I got my new van the other month and it ran well really. It's just annoying on tickover that's all. ....best get reading up on carb balancing then..
  6. The boots and clamps appear fine. I've checked the cable routing and that seems fine too. I've not balanced the carbs so will try that. Would you recommend balancing before anything bigger like cleaning?
  7. Got an old b6. It's not really worthy of oss but it gets me around whilst I collect parts for my gsx build. Its running okay but I think the carbs need a clean and maybe adjustment. When on isle it will slightly rev up and down a few hundred rpm, nothing major but enough. I've given it new plugs, oil and recently done the valve clearances so I'm happy they are okay. Move never touched carbs as they worry me. Does anyone have some sort of idiots guide step by step or point me in the right direction? cheers.
  8. I'm going to keep it simple for this. B12 yokes onto the gsx stem and b12 front end etc.
  9. I'm not a fan of the seat but each to their own. The exhaust looks great though.
  10. Might be for the best in the long run
  11. Love the paint on the tank. Looks really good.
  12. Cheers guys. Sounds good. Them de seamed wheels do look nice though.
  13. The problem I was having in my head was would the body work etc from an et or an ex for example fit. I didn't want to waste time getting bits that wouldn't but they all do apparently.
  14. That's right Tony. It's having a b12 front end for now so I'm not really fussed about that and I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of a problem to mount an et light with some sort of homemade brackets.
  15. Thanks for the above. Doing some more digging and as Grebo says it's an American import and they were still called a gs then. Ive been told by Grebo above abd another chap that 80-82 et ex parts fit with exception of the front light cowl and clocks due to them being changed on the ez.
  16. Still new to old school Suzukis and just picked up my new frame. Was sold as a gsx 750 et. On the new keeper slip it is listed as a Suzuki gsx 750, first registered in 92 but manufactured in 82. So I'm guessing it's an imported frame at some point. Looking on the sticker at the front of the frame I can make out the last few numbers (it's damaged and painted over) it says ---E then on a slightly different shade it says Z. Am I to believe then that this is an ez frame and not an et? Or does the fact that it's possibly imported make it different? thats all the information I have on the frame at this time. Is like to know if the body work from an et or an ex would still fit as I want to start buying some parts for the project. the frame sticker actually says gs and not gsx. Could this due to it being an import and given the name gs in that country? im hoping someone can shed some light on what I actually have so I can make plans! Thanks
  17. Anyone know if the stem just presses in or has to be knurled?
  18. Yes same here Tony. I'm thinking of a b12 front to get it on the road whilst I get the cash together for a nice set of usd's. If anyone wants to share their gsx with bandit front end pictures then feel free :)
  19. Evening all. I wasn't sure if this should be here or in general chat but as its a Gsx frame I'm sure it's okay. Admin move if you feel necessary. Im wanting to finally get a start on my long dreamed of Gsx build. Frame is a gsx 750 et and I'm wanting to slip in a bandit 12 front end. Is it just as easy as pressing an et stem into the bandit yokes? I'm guessing the stops will have to be modified too. I am sure I read on the temp forum that someone mentioned you had to get the stem knurled to get a really tight fit? New to building so any advice appreciated.
  20. Looks lovely. Show more!
  21. Nothing wrong with a Bandit. Great all round bikes. Not as cool as an OSS agreed. I commute everyday on mine and its great.
