  3. Forged magnesium; bought new around 2008/9 when I was working offshore & still had some money!!
  4. Update… ISR made a one-off rear disc for me… it took many weeks to get the BCD (Bolt Centre Diameter) for the unusual 7-bolt fitting from Dymag… multiple e-mails & ‘phone calls… measured everything multiple times, and sweated over the offset as it had to be pretty much within 0.1 - 0.2mm to fit… Happy that it all fits as required
  5. Damn - just discovered that the Öhlins/AP Lockheed front end was originally intended to fit a Kawasaki ZX10… but now bolted to a Harris frame… I guess that this falls out with the confines of Oldschool Suzuki… pls delete my account ASAP
  6. Can anyone recommend a 2-stroke oil to use in a T500??
  7. Just bought myself a T500 - looking forward to collecting it in the next couple of days!!
  8. Some kit back from being either polished or anodised… footrest hangers polished, front brake calliper bobbins + swing-arm spindle plates anodised…

  10. Odds n’ sods… some progress with the tank, ignition + other small stuff… every little helps!!
  11. A small step.. got some brass spark plug ferrules off eBlag… 10 for £1.89 delivered
  12. Always liked Moto-Martin’s… I remember decades ago (early 1980’s) when I lived in Newbury I was out & about one evening.. to the south of Newbury & on the then A34 (way before the bypass was built) is the Carnarvon Arms PH… early evening, and outside were parked three immaculate ‘bikes… a Bimota (SB4?), a Harris Magnum & a Moto-Martin… a stunning line-up!! Thought at the time that it might have been a magazine out for a bimble… too young & whatever to go into the pub & ask!!
  13. Well it fits… but better finish the n/a first …
  14. It’s all in the detail.... a mate (Spike) painted the Yoshi logo... the polished stainless swing-arm bolt was a quid, and a few more £££ for the powder-coat & off the shelf anodised bolts...
  15. Rear brake hanger polished... interested in finding out more about this AP calliper... 590 grams with pads... which will need replacing at some point... does anyone have a AP part-number/rebuild kit # for this calliper ... ??
  16. Sorry... I have to sit next to this in the evening, post supper & watching Netflix... TBH it’s the best place to be/work on the Harris
  17. Rear wheel back in, but then a few pieces taken out & on their way to be powder-coated tomorrow.... two steps forward.. etc..
  18. Now THAT is a pretty good fit!!
  19. The alloy swing-arm spindle locator-plates(?) were made when Gav @ GIA converted the old concentric (eccentric?!) chain adjusters for a more conventional set-up. The guys that machined the new spindle (see earlier post) matched the end-plate to Gav’s work p.s. I need to find someone who can make a rear disc to match that in the picture - the old one went when I sold the old Dymag’s ...
  20. Picked up the new rear-wheel spindle this afternoon - looking forward to having a ‘rolling-chassis’ again
  21. Yup... I posted the link as I see it as a useful resource for other builders...
  22. The two spacers (top left) in the previous post has got the rear shock linkage sorted.... the bottom shock mount was ‘floating’ on the bolt... so a couple of 4.5mm spacers were needed to keep it in place...
  23. Rear engine mounts back from being machined by; http://www.jmpprecision.com/ Based in Filton, Bristol... Getting them making me a replacement rear wheel spindle too, as the original.... well, let’s just say it’s my OCD kicking-in again!!
  24. Update: still making progress (?!)... now waiting on a couple of spacers to make sense of the rear mono-shock linkage, a couple of rear engine mount bolts, & a couple of pieces getting chromed.... should all be back this week ..
