  1. Soo, if I’m building a turbo Bandit 1200 I can use the stronger 1100W rods, without needing the 2mm block spacer that’s needed with Busa rods??
  2. Does anyone know if the Busa Gen 1 ‘rods are the same as the water-cooled GSX-R ‘W’ rods?? They look identical, just the forging numbers are different… TIA
  3. Plumbing in the cylinder-head ‘cooler to me oil-boiler ‘arris… my (poor) excuse for not fitting fiddly headlights!!
  4. I thought it might be… but don’t remember seeing it on a Bandit motor… should have checked my assembly photo’s first!!
  5. I’ve a set of 1127 barrels, pot#2 (nearest starter) has a small amount removed from the inboard-side of the piston liner (see photo). Is this stock on an 1127 as I don’t remember seeing it on a 1200 Bandit block?? TIA
  6. I know of at least one other alloy F1 that has a Suzuki frame number; so quite possible that you could order a frame without a Harris frame number.
  7. I've a 1988 Alloy Harris F1 - frame# HPF118* ..... unfortunately Harris couldn't tell me much about it, other than the original design was commissioned by Ian King....
  8. I’d like a combined oil temp/pressure gauge for my 1989 oil-cooled 1100 engine - any suggestions??
  9. I’m not going to put lights on it - planning to run it on a ‘daylight’ MOT… the cylinder-head cooler will preclude fitting headlights anyway as there’ll be no room!!
  10. You totally get it!!! it has taken a long time to get that fairing to ‘fit’ …. In fact it’s probably the 3rd or 4th set of bodywork that I’ve been able to ‘borrow’ before getting anywhere close…. Lots of patience, and frustration too!! Minor tweaks & sometimes inspiration - then suddenly you think ‘feck’ - I’ve got it!!! The photo’s don’t do it justice… the fairing just ‘flows’ around the ‘bike… at least until the next problem anyway!!
  11. More minor tweaks to get the Yoshi fairing to ‘fit’ around an oil-boiler in a Harris chassis… slowly getting there!! Many thanks again to Spike @ Ragged Edge
  12. 12 years so far… so just some minor tweaks to do…
  13. Every little bit helps…. Just checking that the M8x25’s fit… Yoshi down pipes next..
  14. No progress at the moment, out of work & an alcoholic.....
  15. N.O.S. Yoshi Cyclone exhaust for a ‘slabby’ sourced this weekend…
  16. GT750J front brake to go in to my 1975 T500 … Front wheel just back from being built… 18” Morad ‘valanced’ polished rim, stainless ‘butted’ spokes, GT750J 4-LS front brake - polished, zinc-plated, chromed, etc., etc…. Many thanks to Simon @ AberMoto Suzuki for his help & advice.. The five rubber blanking-plugs that sit in the brake backing-plates are currently soaking in a 3:1 mix of Wintergreen Oil (1 part) & 100% Alcohol (3 parts)… I have found this an excellent way of reviving old rubber parts - worked very well in returning 1989 GSX-R carb’ rubbers from virtually unusable to an as-new condition
