  1. Busa arm is very, very similar to an Srad arm. Somebody might have tried a Busa arm instead.
  2. Doesn't really answer your question, but I'm fairly sure that Srad 750 and 1st gen Busa 6" wheels are exactly the same.
  3. There's a ton of stuff out there on the net on later seat/subframe conversions for srads. A Google search should reveal everything you need to know.
  4. How did you clean the carbs? If you haven't already, do a search on here on carb cleaning. A set of new spark plugs might be useful too. Good luck
  5. Doh...I was thinking it was a 750...I should pay more attention.
  6. Just noticed that the bars are above the top yoke. I thought they were always underneath on the 750's...Any particular reason? Thinking that the lower position would help keep the front end down.
  7. Google 'gsxr 1000 headers on gsxr1100w' and 'k3 GSXR 1000 header on 96 GSXR 1100 write up'. Should help.
  8. Hope it doesn't sound cheeky...but are you both about the same weight? And do the bikes have the same gearing?
  9. What about a GSXR1000 titanium system? I know some on here have fitted them on OC 11/12 engines. A search should tell you everything you need to know.
  10. Isn't a 36mm carb about 60% bigger in cross sectional area than a 29mm carb? Or have I missed something here...?
  11. Ok. I'm thinking of Srad carbs, so I'll have a look at them during the week and see if they're the same.

  13. Just been reading about that alternator relay mod...very interesting! Sorry to @philwrightfor hijacking his thread too...
  14. Dyna coils have been on the list of 'go faster stuff' for air/oil cooled Suzuki's for years but I've always wondered if anyone has actually done a proper comparison. I think it was Pip Higham I spoke to about this years ago - I'm sure he reckoned that sorting wiring looms first to reduce voltage drops as much as possible was the first step before changing coils and ignition. I think he wrote some stuff for Superbike mag about this in the late 80's/early 90's....
  15. Are there any alternatives to Dyna coils???
  16. Do those Astralites save a lot of weight compared to the standard Slingshot wheels?
  17. Fair comment about the jetting, but the Pipercross filters were the first thing Russ at Torque Tune, Ollerton commented on before he put the bike on the dyno.
  18. I wouldn't use Pipercross - many years ago I took a 38mm carbed 1052 to the dyno...to cut a long story short, swapping the new Pipercross filters for some 'slightly squashed to fit 'K and N's' that I had spare gained 5hp at peak.
  19. I thought that slide carbs generally flow more air than CV's of the same size. So a 33mm slide carb could flow as much air as a 36mm CV. Is that wrong?
  20. Thinking out loud...but would it help to wire up the starter and ignition separately? Is this easy or practical to do?
  21. Stumbled across this on youtube. Apologies if it shouldn't be here...
