Well you could but they come at a cost. Standard 62042RS are good up to about 2400km/h (180/60X17) (Max 20000rpm) And the P63 can handle almost 2690km/h. (Max 22100rpm) For me the standard bearing is good enough.

C3 is a bit lose in tolerances, usual applications is enginebearings +100 degrees. "Standard" 6204 withstands continously 13500rpm and 1310kg of dynamic load.(each)

The thing is that the transmission was part of a deal, so now i have another EFE in parts and a Sidewinder for perfomance use only. Yes i'm mental, but i can't say no to a EFE if it's a good deal, even when it's a 300km travel oneway. He also had a Dragbike chassi for "Classic" setup for EFE engine 1500cc done in a chassijig out of Docol R8. Do you want to see pictures of it????

Welcome to OSS. On the 1100 the engines looks as yours SZ 1982 and SD 1983 they where black, but maybe only on the standard GSX maybe Katana was different. Someone with more knowhow will for certain tell me if/when i'm wrong. //Hasse.
