Ok, it sounds like I need to source the newest set possible. From where did you get the connector blocks that fit the top of each coil?
yep, mine seemed to be a bit "used" when i got them!
i got the connectors from E-bay i think, i will look for the link

I made the loom with new fittings, went back to stock coils as my stick coils were worn and wouldnt grip the top of the plug very well, didnt
want to buy some more, when i still had the OEM coils, will fit some more sticks when i find some better ones.

Question for the great unwashed out in engine god land??
are there any faults that i should look for as to why my engine eats valve stem oil seals!!
when i first rebuilt the engine it was burning oil (OEM Suzuki), so i had the over bore done and among other things i changed all the stem seals. (not OEM Suzuki)
not long after that it started to smoke again, as i had to take the head off for other reasons i changed them back to standard OEM Suzuki.
towards the end of the summer she started to smoke again at start up, now i have the exhaust and carbs off i checked into the ports, all exhaust valves are dry, but from what i can see, at least four of the inlet valves are wet!!!
head will be coming off again to replace them, is there anything specific i should be looking at? or am i damaging them whilst assembling to valves?
all tips/ideas welcome

of course if you only ride your bike when the sun is in the sky it won't matter unless you are constantly washing and polishing.. in which case ..... lol
I resemble that remark

from my experience, progressive are better for soaking up the lumps bumps and pot holes of normal road surface, but linear are better suited to track surface and better for set up

no, but it is rather long, about 4" longer than a stock GS swing arm

, I just need to find a swingarm that can take a 6" wheel...
GSX1400 or GSXR1300

Yes, I know. That's why I only asked about the swingarm.
the swing arm width is not the problem! as the tyre on the 6" rim would require a chain run that the stock frame would not be able to cope with without modification
