    Watch out for vultures If it's completely standard fork tubes are likely to be worn, give it a good bounce to see what the rear shock's like.... otherwise, as the guys say - electrics and have a good old poke about around the sidestand. Make sure you don't get swindled on the headlight - standard ones fetch good money and are often swapped out or sold separately. Also depends how much you are looking to spend. A rough standard bike on the road is always going to be worth a grand now. EFE engines will never go out of fashion as long as there is air and petrol.
  2. The roundhouse has set a high standard. (or low, depending on the viewpoint) I think events as part of a bigger event are good too. Isle of Man gatherings, Donington ... Motivation is generally from photos of what you missed when you were doing something else instead

  5. 36s are harder to find as they were fitted to fewer models therefore tend to fetch a higher premium. Even 38s are harder to come by. Are you swapping out the originals?

  7. Hi - welcome to the site. Have you got a rolling road near you? As you've discovered, guess work will get you so far but you can end up going around in circles. It's not just about the main jet size. Failing that, go back to standard settings and work from there. Are you running the original airbox?
