  1. In the words of Nelson, ( admiral not mandela) " If you cant take a joke you shouldn't have joined up" You submariners must have a sense of humour to sit in a tin can smelling each others farts all day long, shipmate
  2. For once Viz is right Don't know who told you gsxr forks were a straight fit, but thyme are wrong.. First question how much money do you have?? The "easiest" are slingshot gsxr 750/1100 as you can use bandit wheel, discs, speedo drive, calipers and other stuff, but they are becoming very rare and expensive. hers one I did a few years ago. slightly more expensive 2016 hayabusa forks with brembo radial brakes, one off top yoke, one off wheels spacers... Not cheap but works brilliantly and looks ( in my opinion) trick as fek... I have fitted various fronts over the years to many Bandits, GSXR750/1100 slingshots, gsxr 1000 K4/K1, gsxr750 Srad TL1000S/R, the best are the hayabusa ones, they can all be made to work with various amounts of cash and ingenuity.. Then of course you will have the opinion that right way up forks can be made to work just as well, that's true, but they don't look as good
  3. its not a direct fit you need the spacers and caliper hanger to go with the wheel...
  4. I already have some cuastic soda, that is what i planned to use......... anyway I suppose i will need to change gear at some point??? so on with a mark 2 600 bandit sprocket cover, the slight problem I had was the yamahmahamahamah gear change lever has a different spline to the oilly cooled shaft..so i had to use the gsxr one, m6 female one end and ,8 left hand male the other???? found some ally and me left hand taps, the rod looked like something from a 70's chopper that Viz would like, so i tonced it up a bit, and now we can change gear
  5. port and starboard actually shipmate, I just got the colours wrong
  6. Firstly don't fir Earls or Good ridge they are terribly over priced, get a cheap one off of a certain auction site.. 19 row is what I use, and never had problems....... recent thread all about coolers here,,,,
  7. Got hold of a late gsxr 1000 radial master cyl and a cable clutch set up from a krapaski, both with very shiny ASV levers, total out lay £80can you spot the slight problem!!
  8. You bolt the clock holding bracket onto the top yoke and connect the speedo cable up, it all works, same ratio, done it several times
  9. have you won the lotto??? Doh!!! 750 I should haver read the list better..... http://www.modulemoto.co.uk/suzuki/COBRAGSXR1100L.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrNOT2p3F1gIV7p3tCh3FHQGVEAQYAyABEgJM8PD_BwE http://www.suzukiperformancespares.co.uk/product/suzuki-gsx1100-conical-4-2-1-race-exhaust/736/
  10. But dose it wind over?? if so its not the neutral switch, have you got a proper bandit ignition switch with the anti theft resistor in it????
  11. as its the change over year from mark 1 to mark 2, which is it???? mark 2's 2000 on have a 4 pin neutral plug with Blu, red/blk , green\blu, blk/white.. if i remember right you link the blue and earth to make the neutral light come on, but if you have a single wire that is a mark1 loom pre 2000??? I think you earth it to get the neutral light on,, ive got a couple of mark 1 single wire neutral switches if needed.....
  12. I think you will find the sv mod is for fitting forrk tops with preload adjusters for 600's 41mm, 1200 s are43mm.. When i raced mine in the stretstocks at North gloucster we weren't alowed to swop forkes so i had mine re valved and re sprung for my weight, ghe differsnce was amazing, i could actually out brake things as the forks didnt dive like sssubmarine and bottom out...
  13. I like these blundercat footpegs but they were 70mm and my frame 63mm spacing so a mate cut and shut them.. blue spot brakes on the rear need longer torque arm.. im sure the purists wont like this but fek' 'em
  14. A mate of mine has been making a seat unit for his 7/11 for ages, hes nearly finished it.... looks kind of coolish????????
  15. Yes, same place as all oil cooler egines, behind the ignition pick up coverr
  16. I used gloves and goggles, as I read the SDS before hand, and did it out side, it did smell a bit though...
  17. That's the stuff I have, im going to mix it with the power strip and see what happens
  18. Cheers for all the good ideas chaps, ill report back if im still alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. So the power strip stuff contains 0.1% DCM, the DCM I have is 99% pure!!!!!! so buy mixing it together I should make a really strong stripper, so what percentage ???? how much to add before I make something that will explode/poison me.... I will get some of it and some decent masks and have a go, we have a ventilated parts washer at work with a hood so ill do it there I think. just to be safe...
