  1. Blimey Birmingham Alabama, my ex wife lives there!!! can you run her over if you see please Wurz??
  2. a lot of slinsghots have the same pic up as a 1200 bandit the part number is the same B1200 33110-17C00 750 K 33110-17C00 1100m 33110-17C00 and many more im sure
  3. you need the bandit ignition switch which has the resistor in the base.. or swop the loom and cdi and switch then no wire cutting
  4. yes but rev limits are differant,
  5. When it stops pissing down ill get my fat arse off the sofa and go outside and have a look
  6. Ive got several like that in my box of scrap that ive removed from bandit engines, they normally have a worn rocker for that lobe as well, not sure which cause the problem, but looks like the hardening has failed on the follower face or the cam... I have just replaced them and all have worked fine for many miles, the last on I did for a mate had a very slight rattle, and when checked the tappets it was exactly like that, number 1 cyl as well... Just replace the cam and the follower and she will be right, but check all the followers whist the cam is out, ive got a cam somewhere I think,, if you cant find one,
  7. Ive used POR tank sealer before which was good, seems to have lasted well???? https://www.frost.co.uk/por15-car-bike-motorcyle-fuel-tank-repair-sealer.html the seat is a GSXR 400 one. I stupidly sold the bike a few years ago
  8. This is one I did a couple of years ago, b12 engine and 750 frame, only mod is the bottom rear engine mount, 1200 is 12mm 750 hole is 10mm so it needed drilling out, as you can see the tap cleared he carb tops
  9. Ive had 7 different front ends on mine over the 21 years ive owned it, this is the best forks and brakes yet.. 2015 hayabusa resprung for my fat arse
  10. The frame dimensions are the same, the only differences between the 600 and 1200 are the rear peg hangers like Blue said, the rear bottom engine bolt hole is 10mm on a 600 12mm on a 1200, so needs drilling out, the bottom triangular engine mounts are welded on on a 600 bolt on on a 1200, the 1200 has an extra brace between the front engine mounts and the lock stop tab on the frame is wider on a 600 than a 1200. so yes any oil cooled will fit as to the rest of it it depends on how much money you have
  11. fit the forks with the 0.9 springs and measure the sag for your weight, before you changer the springs
  12. I had k4 1000 forks in my b12 years ago, they are all short, if your a fat bloke like me and brake hard, you will have mudguard oil cooler interface problems took them off and used 750 slingy forks instead, that way you can use the b12 wheel, calipers, spindle and sppedo drive as well
  13. Duff battery is favourite, what's the battery voltage when you push the starter Tit ???? if it drops below 10 or 11 volts the relay wont latch and it will click and not turn the starter
  14. Nice vegetable patch, Clive.... so 760mm not including the bars that will do
  15. Cherrs chap's ill get me tape measure out
  16. Thats great matey,.so 755mm ish to the top.. cheers
  17. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. anyone got a 750 tpot ( gsx750F early one) handy ??? can you measure from the top edge of the top yoke to the centre of the front wheel spindle please?????? merci beaucoup
  18. ive done it twice, fitted proper clocks from a mark 2 bandit and the wiring loom to my Mag2 and my other 'arris. so that it all plugged together and just worked, its really easy, if a bit expensive as you need clocks, loom, cdi, pick up, neutral switch, alternator and switch gear. Mark 2 bandit clocks mark 2 bandit sprocket cover with pick up, it all just works, no chopping wires no gluing magnets to your discs,,,,,
  19. Are you after light weight wheels or just newer ones?? if you want newer ones then all later gsxr 750/1100 slingshot and 1200 Bandit mk1 fronts drop straight in and the rears will fit if you use the appropriate spacers and calliper hanger, if you want to get rid of the mechanical speedo drive you can fit a trigger wheel to the gearbox output shaft and use a 600 bandit or tpot sprocket cover with the leccy pick up. There is a thread on here somewhere about the wiring needed.
