  1. I was stupid when I did my carbs and did a shit job of cleaning them. I am gonna start there by removing and cleaning the the way I should have in the first place. I was In a hurry to ride and this is maybe the out come for not doing them right. On a side note I turned the air file mix screw down from 3 to 2 and I could get it to stay running. It s a rough idea but didn't die.
  2. Just posting for ideas. Just rebuilt my 1996 gsxr1100. This is in my 1994 gsxr 750 frame. I a using the 38mm carbs from my old 750 motor. I just put in a jet kit for the 38mm carbs on an 1100. My issue is it's starts and sound fine for a few seconds than it starts to crap out I try to throttle and I have to give it allot to get any results. Sounds like it starts to miss fire. Timing is on I have double checked this. I tried new plugs. I have spark on all 4. The plugs are a little black when I checked and wet from fuel. The jet kit is a #150 main. 2 down on the clip. Stock pilot. 3 out on the air/fuel mix. It ran last year on the #116 main I had in it form the 750 I am thinking of tossing th main back in to see what happens. Thoughts

  4. I need 2 yellows and 4 browns. Ill be ordering them then putting back together. thanks for all the help.
  5. LOL i just check out your "750 frame" bluedog59, I don't think you'll have the same issue. That's a nice looking frame! Looks good.
  6. I cut the culprit mount before it cracked or wore through my cap. Now that the motor is out I will clean this up better and remove the other one also.
  7. Here is what i had to do and why. It fits but one of the top side frame mounts will hit your carbs. You can see the rubbing on the top rim of the carb cover. this happened on both sides.
  8. looking to put an 1100 in a 750? I have a 94 750 and I had to cut off one of the tabs for the top side motor mounts from the frame. the rear tab was rubbing on the carb cabs and was starting to chips them. I wasn't using the top side mounts and didn't plan on it so I jus cut it out. I will gladly measure for you see pic to make sure I understand where you want measured
  9. I'll be tearing the 1100 apart this weekend. According to wombat258 and the comparing between the 2 manuals it appears possible.
  10. 750 is tore down and the 1100 is out of the bike. the types of read that will hold my attention
  11. Manual is printed (boss may not like that I did it at work )
  12. Me too! building an adapter for the gsxr motor to go on my engine stand now!
