my 1100 Kat with 4-1 pipe / stock airbox ( lid removed) 130 mains / 47.5 pilots / 1 1/2 turns out from seated ….. spot on . -
84 GS1150 - Need a replacement rear shock or a rebuild to fix oil-leak?

….. take out the worn shock and replace with a 2x4….. that should get the 1150 to handle much better -
as far as I know , the 750 and 1100 are the same loom (Canadian spec) the Euro version may differ . The 1982 and 1983 differ only at the switch gear connection (yellow/white wire connection in the terminal block) which powers the headlight .

one thing I have noticed in the past about the bst38’s is the abnormal needle wear …… up near the c clip region and where the needles rub on the emulsion tubes …… this may be your issue as well . Dynojet needles and jets are tuned as a kit so just swaping needles to originals will throw it out of tune ….. factor in the drilled hole in the carb slides and softer spring .

thanks….. I know the Pingel products and have used them with success. I seem to recall there was a non-vac type valve on the Yams or kwaks that was mentioned on here to work on the gs …..

all gsxr stems had external threads . that stem resembles the GS / Kat stems which had internal upper thread and the steering lock hole .

those gtx’s are the bomb …… that 3071 may be a bit big for your application but for almost free……. take it !

…… put your dollars on a garrett gtx series turbo …sized for your application….. lag is a thing of the past .

head can be removed …… “Helicoil” are the brand you will want to use .

highly doubt you bent a rod ….. not enough force from a starter motor to do that .
