Odd small thing I hadn't finished off properly which has been bugging me for a while was the speedo pick-up bracket which is mounted to the front right caliper. Pick-up sensor is just held in place with a metal bracket and a big rubber grommet which has worked really well for 1200 miles. When I first mounted the calipers I had to make some ally 5mm spacors to clear the disks, pick-up bracket is 3mm so just put a couple of peny washers behind it. Today I decided to put it right. Got the 5mm spacor I had removed and set about removing 3mm from the middle of it with my hacksaw, file and a bit of glass paper. After a couple of hours I achieved what I set out to do. Painted the metal bit with Lidl gloss black. Just have to let it dry properly to re-fit it.
God that’s a great little bracket, my slingy project will be running a gsxr750 k7 front end and I was looking for some sort of clock ideas
im shite with electrics
do you have any suggestions on what clocks to use?

You get more interest having a build thread in the projects section
Done
cheers

Yea will do
I didn’t want to do a build thread because it was only a question, and I didn’t think I would get as many responses on a build thread
cheers I’ll set one up now

......done until the next valve adjustment interval ....or if you forgot , while the engine was out.....that interval may be sooner than later .
Well let’s hope it didn’t need them doing, because I’ve never done valve clearances before

I have put 1100 teapot engine into 750K frame without taking anything off. It is tight, but can be done.
You have to play with lower back engine mount. Either make spacer which you slide into engine or drill mounting holes on the frame to 12mm.
Once engine is in place, only way to remove valve cover is to take all engine mounting bolts off. That way engine drops a few cm and you are able to take cover off.
So protip, adjust your valve clearances before mounting the engine.
Engine is in now but I took the sump off to squeeze it in and now I have the problem of not being able to get my fucking rocker cover on!!
looks like I’ll ha e to remove all the engine mounts as you’ve said and get the rocker on!!! Ffs!! What a bastard!!! -
It’s an 1989 G reg if that helps?

J/k frame, breather off, and sump off makes life a lot easier. You wont get the cam cover back on once the engine's in situ.
L/m frame, breather off
Sorry to sound stupid but how do I tell if it’s an l/m frame?

I’m after advice or even a link to buy a chain and sprocket set for my slabbie
it has a power screen 1127 engine fitted
and a slingy rear wheel
ideally want a full package, front sprocket, rear sprocket and the chain
I'm after more wheelie fun than top speed
