  1. I thought I just give some additional information.. I saw the number 1260
  2. I know that with the GS1000 and GS750 the headers are interchangeable, but the 750 has a bigger gap between headers and frame, I assume that it isn't any different between the GSX1100 and 750..
  3. 1100 rods are 1.5mm longer than 1000 rods, 78mm on a 1000 crank will give you 1238cc, 78mm on a 1100 crank will give you 1260cc
  4. https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-gs1000-1979-n-general-export-e01_model13512/partslist/FIG-11.html#.Xh5kbsgzaM8
  5. Picture? Cam chain guide holder, in the center of the crankshaft has 2 of those screws... Oilpump might have those screws too, that means, take the clutchbasket off to inspect, Oh I just see that you checked that already.. The alternator is also held in place with screws if I remember correctly, but the screws might be longer than 25mm, but coming loose and end up in the sump might be a bit far fetched.
  6. Only one solution, take it apart and have a look.. More then one option.
  7. The other 3 pistons are ok. I'm afraid that when the scraper turns the ends get hooked and scratch the barrel.
  8. Gents, I had pistons copied by JE, I'm not impressed by what they did, but hey.. One piston has this, see red arrow. Grooves of piston rings were cut, then the bore for the wrist pin was done. Because of a lack of enough material a bump in the oil ring was created. I had to file the bump off to make the oil move in the groove without too much resistance, there for there is a gap were the wrist pin is, about 6mm, the oil ring is not supported. Is this acceptable? As in, is this going to cause trouble? One hand I would say, should be right, other hand.... I'm not too sure.. Thanks
  9. I haven't heard about 494 rods before, which Suzuki has those?
  10. GS1000 parts are harder to get.. I have 3 very good con rods if you need..
  11. Hehehe, you still had them? If not, where did you managed to find them?
  12. Got my frame back from powder coating. I did some modifications, FPR, fuel pump and ignition module closer to each other instead everything spread out through the frame. Waiting for some engine parts, and then I can start assembling.
  13. I don't have a clue what they can handle, I'm just afraid it stuffs up again, I can't afford a second time.
  14. Apparently the 2nd generation Hayabusa has 18mm pins.. I'll order those, should be right, I hope..
  15. Gents, I'm about to order wrist / gudgeon pins, but I'm afraid get not the right ones.. What wrist pins do you guys use? 18mm. I can find some on the APE site, but they're 5mm too short. It's for a GS1000.. I had planned to get pins what goes in the GSX1100. A max of 200/220 crank HP, just a guesstimate Any ideas? Thanks
  16. I managed to find a part number of it, 2nd hand people ask more than what they cost new..
  17. I have 2 sets of crankcases, the set I had on my bike did had that part in it, the other set hadn't, I did have a rear chain guide what was snapped off..
  18. Just had a look, you're right.. It's so flimsy.. Do you know the name of that part?
  19. It's deffenitly on the limit, but it does work alright.
  20. Are you sure? That's bolted on the case with a pivot point..
  21. Oh d#mn, I didn't see that.. Methanol!
