  1. That's the one I was expecting to see, like on her younger sister here,
  2. Maybe Steve. If that's the case, someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make it a very uniform finish. The machining for the lower stem bearing surface still appears to be untouched as well. It's a GV73A if that is of any relevance to anyone.
  3. Can someone please enlighten me on this one. I know they should be there. You know they should be there.. Why does my recently acquired 1100 frame appear to have a sand-cast finish where the lockstops should be? It came with a ZX7R front end, not dissimilar in locks to the GSXR1000 that I now have dummied into place. So I would understand why they may/have been removed. But the finish has me somewhat confused. It's not a big issue, but now that I'm here, do I replace the stops, as per std Slingshot. Or do I just have pads welded in place like the GSXR1000?

    170/60r17 tyre choice

Looks like a 180 is the goods. That definately opens up the possibilities for me. Maybe I'll find some joy with Supercorsas or Racetecs after allh thank you very much for the advice on the GSXR. She's my new addition to the stable, and I want to make sure I dont take any backward steps along the way..

    170/60r17 tyre choice

Rim is a 5.5 I'm quite sure. I just noticed that it already comes in pretty fine along the torque arm for the rear caliper. I was thinking I could try slipping in the rear off my Bandit if I get really excited one day.. You never noticed any big difference in handling going to the 180? I know the profiles are very close between the two.
  6. G'day all. New to the forum. Hoping that this has not been covered before, and that I'm posting this in the right place... I am trying to find out if anyone has had any joy finding good rubber in the 170/60r17 to suit my 1990 GSXR750L. Or if anyone has experience with fitting a 180/55r17 to theses bikes? I'm running Pirelli Rosso Corsas on my 1200 Bandit, and was hoping to find something a bit stickier for the 750. I have found Michelin PP's, Metzeler M5's and Bridgestone S20's in the right profile. Diablo II's are available too and are great. But that's a backward step from what I am running at the moment. Cheers in advance for any advice.
