The
Stand
This year we set up the stand the day before streetfighterday along
with Tinie (BikePenR.NL)
We had a partytent, a white camouflage net from Bral, a classic
Atari game system to show the kids some oldskool games, a CD player
with amplifier and speakers from Fred, a beamer that didn't work
so whe showed AMA superbike DVD's (thanks YoshiJohnny) on a laptop
screen, a and a shrine for knarF...
At streetfighterday knarF's project was officially started. We had
made a candle with his photo on it which we later handed to knarF's
sister. The shrine consisted of his GS1000, the candle, his home-ported
cylinder head, his block with MTC pistons and the project book.
Visitors of the stand could light a candle in his remembrance.
The stand was crowded all day which could not be said for the rest
of the hall.
Dynostar
OSS horsepower shootout
My intention this year was to stay on the stand an enjoy, Richard
taking care of the dyno, but the fantastic guys from Dynostar had
brought a PA system and a projector screen and ofcourse nobody volunteered
to do the commenting so I had to take that upon myself.
The turbo guys from OSS put up a great spectacle, doing baseline
runs in the morning sessions and using lunchtime to crank up the
PSI's and remove restrictive exhausts.
Richard's bike suddenly made more than 90hp more and Bruteforce's
compressor said enough.
Big respect for those who risked their engines to put up a great
show!
Richard won the OSS No-Bullshit trophy, which had nothing to do
with Dynostart using his bike to calibrate the dyno ;-) Well deserved
though, another year like that and Richard will be rid of his stage-fear.
He won a subscription on the german Fighters magazin and a banner
from the same guys.
Second place
went to GixxerRon who received a paddock stand and third place to
Stan who got an exhaust repair kit.
