Wayne's Extremely TRIK GSX-R1100 [ Under Construction ]

This is the story of Wayne's GSX-R1100 and SevenEleven, continually updated as work progresses. The text may be a bit erratic at the time because it's the composition of various e-mails with updates.

The bike started as a '92 GSX-R1100N in near mint condition, so I thought let's sell my R1 and do something different to the Suzuki. A lot of my mates where asking what I had bought such an old relic for and not to many have seen the changes yet.

Two years ago I had a 89 GSX-R7/11 "K" chassis with a full Tony Scott blueprinted "M" motor and "M" running gear. Fortunately the guy that bought it wanted to sell it just at the right time to tie up with this project.
He had only done 700 miles on it since he bought it as he had nearly flipped it a few times and scared himself to death!
So out cam the lump (breaking four exhaust studs) head off and down to the machine shop where they broke two cutting tools trying to remove the old studs.
Once done it was rubbed down and prepped and painted by me in satin black and put back in the 1100N. I've added a Dyna 2000 ignition system, billet covers, see through clutch, 50bhp NOS to be fitted on return from welding off subframe, billet-6 calipers up front and billet-4 at the rear.

All engineering is done by T.E.S. performance and the subframe is being done next week.
Brief specs are... Tony Scott breathed on engine, dialed in cams, blue printed bottom end, 50 bhp nitrous, 4"billet yokes, billet engine cases, see-through clutch cover, loads of braided lines, billet rear cam feed instead of "y" feed line, 6 pot harrisons/rear harrison caliper, polished everything.

Still waiting for front guard, yokes and adjustable rear subframe (hopefully being done next week). Fitting NOS kit this weekend(cant fit bottle till subframes done). Have a photo of bike before I dived into it and a bit of history on the Scott engine. Have brought a GSXR750K to fit the standard engine into and Johns all ready started on the body work for that one, concentrating on finishing this one first though.
The exhaust is a Devil race system i got cheap from old stock, It's being altered though to have two side exiting (sort of turn out) pipes that will run up underneath the tail unit.

My bikes still not finished its at TES performance engineering at the moment having subframe, billet yokes, polished forks and front wheel, under seat exhaust which will exit at either side off the tail unit like a sort of "Y" if you could see from above. They might be able to sort out the swingarm to a single sided "shotgun"-style as well but i am moving house soon so its all against the clock.

This is what Wayne started out with....

The bike is completely covered in carbon/kevlar hybrid material by TRIKbodywork

Hmmm... wait a minute...
one...

Two...
Three shots of a bike from the same side???
This is starting to look like an article out of Streetfighters Mag.
(and it gets even worse...)
See-trough clutch cover conversion by T.E.S., who did most of the other engineering also.

Some people (like Mr.7/11 would kill for a clutch cover like that so you'd better watch your back Wayne ;-)
August 28th
Subframe done, R1 battery, Dyna 2000 fitted, front wheel polished.
It's getting there...
