Not so Seven-Elevens and Mates bikes.

Owner: Gavin Davidson

Chassis: '86 GSX-R750G, purple(!) anodized Renthal handlebar with homemade fitting, single round headlamp, homemade speedo bracket, low-profile rear tyre, various polished bits.

Engine: '86 GSX-R750G Modifications : Motad Nexxus exhaust

Comments: Gavin's has become a great friend of mine and has been a great help with building my bike giving lots of useful technical details from the other side of the globe made him defenitely deserve a place on this web site. By coincidence we ended up with exactly the same bikes (though they won't be at the end of the story), typical. The mods Gavin made to his bike make it look like a modern retro, and Gavin thinks it resembles the Triumph Speed Triple the most.

Gav is usually too busy shagging under-aged Chinese chicks or staring at his computer screen to do anything about the standard state of his bike. At night he dreams of full-figured European women and a GSX1200.

Hong Kong Streetfighter

Your worst nightmare... straight from Jurassic Park.

Owner: Pat Chin

Chassis: GS1100, '88 GSXR750 front, braced swingarm, MX handlebars, '90 GSXR front rim, '88 GSXR1100 rear rim (18x4.5), Kawa ZXR seat unit.

Engine: GS1100, APE parts throughout (cruel man), ported 1150 head, megacycle cams, straight cut gears and numerous other mods.

Comments: This bike produces a claimed 146HP at the rear wheel, and that is without optimizing cam timing, ignition timing and jetting. Makes your standard Eddy Lawson rep look rather wimpish, doesn't it?

Another nice detail: the cardridge forks have stainless steel extensions to increase cornering clearance. I had those fitted on my Honda MT-5 moped when I was 16 and they were illegal because of the risk they snapped at the join.

Owner: Sandro "Mad Cow" Serafini

Bike: '91 GSX-R1100M

Comments: I left the specs out because the moment you write it down it gets changed, and there isn't a bike website that hasn't got it featured. Famous.

Sam supplied a lot of trick parts for my bike, too much to mention here and I am forever gratefull for that.

Lovely bike, great guy, though he didn't escape from England's mad cow's disease entirely so now thinks he's God.

OooOOHHhhhh... (or should that be MoooOOOOoo!!?)

Who said 1100's don't corner?

Owner: Valcarcel

Bike: '92 GSX-R1100 with fibreglass racing bodywork, 750 braced swingarm, Ohlins shock, forks done by LE, it also has 6 piston brakes, yoshimura controls (bars and pegs), same pipe and cams, mikuni flatslides, VH ignition, and many other details like nissin master cylinders and perhaps more to come.

Comments: This bike has been put here because I like the clean, lean and mean look of racebikes.

Owner: Ludo Vermeulen

Bike: RF900 with BOS slip-on.

On a nice day Ludo and I always go out for a good trash. The RF was a good match to my 7/11 untill I got the RS36 carbs, though it feels a bit gutless if I hop over from my bike directly to his. It's more of a rev-happy bike. Though he hasn't modified his bike much Ludo is very good with the spanners and made my bike run very well because he is so precise with adjustments.
He is also very good at making all kinds of electronic gadgets.

My personal engine mechanic :-)

Owner: John

Here's a couple of pics of my not so 7/11.

I've fitted 1100L usd front end, RG125 seat unit, 750WR rear wheel, Bandit 1200 swing arm, twin bates style lights, braided hoses up front & home made drag bars.
Engine standard, carbs jetted to suit Yam 400 RR cut down silencer.
More changes as ideas come.
