This one came from a shop in Peterborough with a years' MOT, new tyres, chain, battery & a set of indicators... plus receipts to show that in '98 it was treated to a set of Mr Wiseco's finest pistons, taking it out to 1230cc! Also I has a matt black exhaust system of unknown origin - may be a Yoshimura Cyclone if it's the same one as was fitted along with the 1230 kit.

But - that's it! Completely stock otherwise (which will be changing...)

Plans for it so far: after the initial reaction to tear off the plastic and add a set of Renthals plus a phat back tyre, I thought 'way too predictable'... so! We are going down the 'sleeper' route... which is where stuff is subtly modified / uprated but passes you by at first glance - which is the only glance you'll get with a 1230 kit in there!

--- Trip to the Dyno to see where we are starting from, then on to junking the stock airbox or even adding a set of Slingshot carbs...
--- Brakes, wheels and swingarm will be replaced with GSXR Slingshot items...
--- The stock clip-ons are coming off and being replaced with flat bars...
--- The front and rear lights are being uprated with more modern bulbs...
--- The paint will (very predictably for me!) be going gloss black...
