Hi, I was just brousing your site when I realize u guys have development on bikes with the Suzuki 1100 EFE engines.I thought u might be able to put the section of racing that I do in Australia with the Suzuki 1100 EFE. We have a class of speedway with what we call LITRE SPRINTCARS and we do some awesome things with these engines.
First of all we cut the gearbox off the engine and plate it up,and we make a drive off the crank through a torque tube with a uni-joint down to a winters diff.on the front where I run dyna ignition.
I have a gilmore pulleywhich goes to a standard oil pump(EFE)with a pulley and the shaft goes into the oil pump then the belt goes to a hilborn fuel pump with is a manual system for the hilborn 60 k fuel injection. And we run them on methyl alcohol.
Its a standard bore with oversized stainless steel valves with a EFE cam.
The head has a little bit of work done and we r doing more development on the air flow.
We have found that the 750 r head flows a little better than the EFE head so i'll let u know how that goes.
We have no clutch and we are set with one set of gears in the diff.so we cant change gears while driving, the engine revs we r doing is around 10500 rpm to 11000 rpm .
We do the oval circuit which is usually quarter of a mile on clay in 14 seconds the lap records r different at each track but most of them are around the high 13 seconds.
I have attached a few pics for u so u can see the different way we can use such a good reliable engine.
