fxr Posted August 11, 2015 Share Posted August 11, 2015 hi chaps, used to be on hear all the time but lost bike ect, anyways got me a bandit engined gixer 750, after a zap of around 100 mile this weekend i have noticed a knock seems to come from gearbox, sounds just like the chain is to tight it aint put new sprockets on and done just about every thing i can think of without spliting cases, any ideas thanks g Quote Link to comment

fxr Posted August 12, 2015 Author Share Posted August 12, 2015 yep, i was hoping to hear better news but i reckon to thats its a bearing on output shaft, it does it more under load and seems to be a tad worse when warm, now, ive been a way from gixers for 6 years, last time i had engine upside down was to put a six speed box in so how can i find out if i gotta do that without having engine out, i grabed hold of shaft and got no movement [not to say its not there under load tho] any tips ideas would be great cheers chaps Quote Link to comment
