  1. Hi all, first time around here. Made a recent purchase of a 83 gsx750 ES, but in need of some quick help getting dimensions. Does anyone have dimensions for the swingarm pivot width and the head stem height? Just need to narrow down possible donors for a front end and swingarm swap. Bike is on the way, but need to get to the wreckers asap as they are closing down and just chucking stuff out real quick. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys. I recently saw an add for a gsx 750 giuliari seat but I feel like it's not the correct one for the -82 model year. The seat mounts look different on the front. Could someone identify which model it is for?
  3. So... problem is very silly, but pretty huge for me. Completely don’t know how to connect that little thing. 8 pins, on wiring harness just 6 lines. Any help? Best solution is explain it to me like to biggest dummy in the world(drawing will be good).
  4. As in, can’t leave. I think I’m in good company if every time I have to repair or replace something I always feel I need to upgrade. Blown seal and hard, old, bias tire prompted me to swap out my 83’s whole front for a TL1000s I already had. Even after buying a seal kit and new tires for the original rims. I gave up my speedo, temporarily, but love the new handling and brakes. Now, I want to have the back rim match with a radial as well. I know a B12 swinger and wheel is a popular swap, but I already have an SV650 wheel and I wanted to keep the ‘83 swinger. I have too many projects as it is. I thought at 4.5 with a 160 it’s gonna slot right in with little pain. Of course, you already know that is not the case. With the bearings all replaced and using the ‘83 spindle and spacers I am, what appears to be, over 25mm off center. I know there are many ways to skin this cat, and I have a 5/8ths offset sprocket I can use up front. Is that my best option? How much have people been able to trim the cush drive rubbers or trimmed off the sprocket mounting face from the cush. It looks like I can only take about 3/8” off the drive side spacer before the sprocket studs hit the swinger. I will have to bring the cush in to work to get it done. If someone has already done the deed and would share what they came up with I would be much obliged. I don’t have a problem with the back and forth to work it out myself, I just know it has already been done before. My other thought is, if the effort is going to be the same, I can get a B12 to put in here and just go right to 5.5 and a 180 straight off. Opinions? Thanks, Zweihammer
  5. Hey! Got my first bike this week, gsx400 '81 café racer! Really pleased with the looks of it, exept the big and boxy original intrument cluster. Anyone know the rpm/60kmh ratio for the speedometer? And is the tacho electrical or wire? Thanks!
  6. Hello, I want to know if anyone has experience with the base jetting, when swapping out the carbs on a gsx1100 with a pair of bst36ss from a gsxr750. my gsx1100sz has no modification other than a free flowing racing exhaust. regards Morten
  7. Hi all, Does anybody know if, and if so which years, of GSX-R 1100 stock 4-2 exhausts would fit my 1200 Inazuma? I currently have a 4-1 Laser system with a carbon can fitted, which sounds fantastic, but I really like the idea of twin pipes on a retro bike like the Inazuma. I'm thinking the oil cooled 1100's would be best? Then, the next question; anybody have a system they'd be willing to sell or swap for the 4-1 I have? see picture attached. I do think I'd probably have to lose my centre stand if I fit the twin pipes, which is a bit of a shame...
  8. Just inherited this beauty from my Dad. Waiting to pick her up this weekend. Thought i'd introduce myself, say hello and show her to you guys! I'm sure I'll be around here a lot!
  9. I swapped out my tired old baggy rear shocker for one I had fitted to my old teapot 750 project, it's a Showa one from a VFR400 I think? It looked a similar size and went in without too much drama but it's clearly shorter than the original as my bike now sits a good two to three inches lower on the back end! Looks like a drag bike now! Does anybody know of any other Suzook rear shockers that would be a direct bolt up replacement? I don't mind raising the rear a tad so slightly longer would work a treat :-) I know I can buy a Hagon, Wilbers etc. but there all knocking on north of £300!
