I have seen a precision technique for setting cross slide angle and was thinking I would slso do test fits and bluing before I get to full depth of cut to confirm the the fit. A tool post grinder would be nice, maybe I can build on easy enough.
I have picked up the parts for this and am going to attempt to cut the rotor for a large taper using my new (1950's) lathe. Wish me luck. I will post back with my results.
I have a gs1100 that I have bored out to 1395 and it has been suggested that I weld my starter clutch. Does anyone here have experience doing this? If so do you have a picture or description of where to weld that you could share? I am sure I could figure it out on my own but prefer to follow a proven method. Thanks
