  1. Cheers for that Jonny im ditching the gsx750 engine for the gs. Going to get another gsxr750 and put that in when can sort the mounting plates out keep getting the wrong ones. Even the ones i bought for the gs dont fit
  2. yes read through his build nice bike some trick bits on it as well looks spot on my trouble is like bits on other bikes so lot trial and error like with the gsx not keen on the tank so looking for something different
  3. gsx engine is oil cooled , the gs started out as just a frame lol and gsx was cobbled together with bits missing gonna be fun to build had about 5 different front ends on so far

  5. Yeah saw the ones in Japan stupid price and yes only looking for the twin shock ones did expect to find more than just two

  7. Here goes im building two bikes 1, 1977 gs 750 with gsx750 engine 2 1989 gsx750es with a gsxr750 slabby engine Any suggestion on what headers will fit any advice welcome cheers mick

    Look different to mine they was on a gs750
  10. Easy fit as well think only needed to take 2mm of each side of my gs frame even found some alloy spacers for inside the swingarm that was on my gs750

  13. no its stuck in the engine part mount plate moves
  14. As title say bloody thing is stuck solid best suggestions to get it out using wd 40 tried turning with a socket and breakers bar any help would be great
  15. Just gotta get the engine in the right place front mounts for ease or rear mount would be more work but looks better any opinions ?
  16. Well the gs shaftie has gone to a new home So just started new build 1977 gs750 bit more satisfying when you spray the bit yourself ok might not be best job but feels good
  17. Ill look at my 550 frame which is an L on frame its stamped gs550E apparently there where a few variants E, L, T, M Katana
  18. They are so different from one to the other I bought gs 550 tank and don't fit my 550,750,or 850 frame don't think your frame is 750 as it's braced where the last coil mount fits here is my 750 frame similar to yours
